Thank you for posting this interview with Prof Schimmel. This is the first time I saw the video of an interview with her I think. She was a great scholar. I would have loved to study Persian and Rumi with her, too bad she has passed away. She is right about the sema of course- like many other things- because it feels different when you watch it from a group of darwishes versus the touristic versions of it.
