Remind people

We need to indicate to people the right direction

We bring ourselves closer to Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala by bring others to him

A man called Qaiys ibn Kathr travelled from Medina to Damascus, just to visit Abu Darr for this hadith. “The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For him who adopts a path of seeking knowledge, Allah eases the way in Paradise, and Angels spread their wings for the seekers of knowledge, being pleased with his occupation, and all that is in the heavens and the Earth including the fish in the water, ask for his forgiveness. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets and the Prophets do not leave an inheritance of dirhams and dinars, but only of knowledge. He who acquires knowledge acquires a vast portion." [Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi]

If you had one thing to take out of your burning house, what would it be?

Zakariya (upon him peace) asked Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala for a child, he mentioned all the benefits of Allah Subhanu wa ta’alas blessings

We have made this book (Quran) for them to inherit

Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala has chosen the Quran as a legacy for this nation

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) if someone does ten things, enters heaven. In the first 10 ayats of Sura Muminoon (sura 23 See Quran and other notes on this blog)

Practice these verses, you will enter heaven

The Prophets (upon them peace) were chosen, not inherited

The closest people are the ones who inherit. If you want to learn about someone, then you find the closest person to that person

Knowledge is what takes you away from Dunya/world and takes you to the Akhira/afterlife

Like the superoirity of the moon over the stars, the moon is closest to us and doesn’t generate its own light

The moon reflects light

There was a teacher who wanted to mislead a person away from Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala and made that person repeat Al-Basal (the onion). When he began to think about it, his sincerity lead him to Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala

So the teachers intention doesn’t change the students intention

satan wants to mislead you

He will encourage people to perform worship when you have no wudu

The alim makes two rakat and goes to sleep

The sleep of the alim is better than the worship of the ignorant

The learned man can put right his worship – his or others peoples worship

Angels will ask for forgiveness for the Alim

Fish ask for forgiveness for the students

The fish quota has been put down by the European union upon the request of the Norwegians, at the behest of the Scots.
