A person with a strong intention will be rewarded with knowledge in accordance to his intention
Qadi Iyad wrote (the Shifa) to restore the love of the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him)
It was for our sake (so we realise his rights)
The blossoming of the love for the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) is from the inward, not from the outward
This book was read whilst calamites befell the Muslims
When the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him) is present, the doors of calamity are closed by Allah (Subhanu wa Ta’ala)
Reading the hadith is like sitting in the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him)
We can’t only rely on this, we need to implement what we have read
Honouring the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) is the greatest sign of god fearing and faith
Anyone who doesn’t respect the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) is destined for destruction
He (peace and blessing be upon him) will be a witness over the Umma
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said, “The rewards of my nation have been shown to me. The smallest good work was to remove something from the mosque.”
Someone shouldn't raise his voice over the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), when you listen to his hadith, listen to the narration
The further we move away from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), the more we need his love
The light of his love was passed from generation to generation
The help is still needed, so help the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), with the work he would’ve done
We have manners with everyone, not complete their words before they would
A true scholar is the one practices what he preaches
If we are distant from him (peace and blessing be upon him), he is distant from us
If we something without respecting the Sunna, the result would be a catastrophe, devoid of success
We address the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) with the greatest respect
The smaller the man becomes in the sight of people, the higher that he goes to Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala and vice versa
The companions (May Allah be pleased with them) spoke to the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) only when they had questions
The 13 questions of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) are recorded in the Quran
The Quran states that the people would loose their works, if they speak badly to the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him)
The ignorant are those who don’t absorb or understand
When Abu bakr and Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) heard this, they lowered their voices until people couldn’t hear them
We should respect our scholars of our time
Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala will make our actions worthless, if we disrespect the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him)
If someone shows disrespect to the words of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) then show them how to respect them
The Jews used to swear at the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) by mixing up the Arabic and Hebrew
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) gives us exactly what we need
The reward for a good deed for the Umma of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) is worth 10, (of the nations before us)
Anas ibn Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) gardens used to give fruit twice a year and he saw one hundred of his offspring, because the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) prayed for him (3 things, plenty of provision, offspring and forgiveness). He used to say, “I am waiting to be forgiven by Allah.”
We smile first and then they smile
They used to listen to him quietly with their heads bowed, in respect for him (peace and blessing be upon him)
In Hanafi fiqh, blood is filth and cannot be drunk.
You cannot take anything from Mecca or Medina unless you live there
To rub a Syed is permissible but shows disrespect
Khalid ibn walid (may Allah be pleased with him) lost a turban during a battle, he fought to get it back and lost a lot of men. The turban had some hairs of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) in it
A companion was captured and tortured, he was asked, “Would you rather that Muhammad be in your place and you at home?” He said, “No, by Allah I don’t wish that a thorn would touch the foot of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him)
Talha ibn Ubaydllah (may Allah be pleased with him) had eighty plus wounds on him (from protecting the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) at the battle of Uhud.)
There was once a woman who was shaking and trembling, the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said, “Be calm woman.” She was transformed to her normal state
Sheikh Abdullah fatah Al Ghuddah said, “Raising your voice indicates a lack of respect, when you talk to people.”
Greet youngsters and old people
If you act like a humble person, you will become humble
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) restored the humanity to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and showed them that the world meant nothing, he was sent to give life to people
Respecting his (peace and blessing be upon him) house, is respecting him
Qadi Iyad (may Allah show him mercy) (how to make a dua),
1. praise Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala,
2. send prayers onto the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him),
3. ask for you need,
4. Prayers on the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) in the middle and in the end
Different opinions in Islam cater for different peoples in different places
You can follow a Madhab but not the dispensations that remove one from the circle of responsibility
Its an enormity to relate a fabricated hadith (unless it is to warn)
Ahmed ibn Hanbal said, “I prefer weak hadiths over the words of men.” (The words of men meant here are the scholars of his time)
Words came out of the mouth of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) like light, in a subtle gentle way
Imam Malik issued a fatwa for a Qadi to be jailed for relating a hadith standing up
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said, “Fatima is a part of me.”
(Anyone who harms her, harms him.)
Before the battle of khandaq, the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), “I will give the flag to someone Allah and his Messenger loves.” Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) wished it was he and stood on his tiptoes – to be noticed. Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) came in, he was not expected as he had an illness in his eye. The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) put some of his saliva into Ali’s eye and he could see better than he could before.
Once the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) was giving a Khutba and someone came to ask him a question, he came down from the Minbar, a chair was brought out and he answered all the questions that the man had. He only returned to the Khutba when it was clear that the man was satisfied.
There are two types of love: rational love (beginning) and true love (end)
He who is obedient to Allah and his Messenger will be with the Prophets, martyrs and the truthful
The reason why we ask Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala to bless the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him), is because whatever we could say, it wouldn’t be enough
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) never ate raw onions or garlic, it ok to eat them cooked
Keep ones breath fresh because the angels take the Fatiha from the mouth
Ibn Ata’llah says the archers who deserted the flank at the battle of Uhud wanted to get the booty, so they could give it away in charity
Jihah al Ghifari broke the staff of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) during the caliphate of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). He died from a flesh-eating disease
Someone who takes a hadith and practices it, its as if they have a lock of hair of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him).
This is the inheritance of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) is knowledge.
We need to get that knowledge.
